Contemporary Hispanic Market in Santa Fe, New Mexico

24th Annual Contemporary Hispanic Market - July 25 – 26, 2009

Contemporary Hispanic Market is organized and run by an artist committee which consists of 12 members.The Market is held outdoors on Lincoln Avenue next to the Santa Fe Plaza and is held yearly during the last weekend of July. There will be 134 booths with many medium forms of artwork created by New Mexico Hispanic resident Artists and is open 8am-5pm each day and free to the public

2009 Contemporary Hispanic MarketPhilip Lovato resident of Taos, NM was selected as the poster artist. His art form medium is dichroic glass art. “Father of Gold”, is the poster title. Posters will be available signed or unsigned for sale on preview night and during the market in booth #76, (on Lincoln Ave) or by phone (505) 296-2749.

Each year the artists are honored during a Preview and Awards Ceremony where patrons will have a preview of artwork (artwork will be for sale during the evening) and can meet the exhibiting artists The event will be held this year at the newly remodeled Santa Fe Convention Center, (formally Sweeney Center).  There will be hors d’oeuvres and entertainment. Doors open 5:30pm – 8pm; the public is welcome and is a free event.
